Margaret Priest is current first year M.A./M.S. candidate in the Conservation of Art and Cultural Heritage / Conservation Science and Imaging in the Patricia H. and Robert E. Garman Art Conservation Department at Buffalo State University.

She is a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina Asheville, where she earned a B.A. in Art History with minors in Studio Art and Chemistry. During her undergraduate studies, she was a collections intern at the Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center, an intern at a private paintings conservation studio, and a teaching assistant in both organic and inorganic chemistry. Her senior thesis explored how the Museum of the Bible’s collection has broad implications for cultural heritage ethics. After graduating, she worked as a research assistant developing green polymerization methods for use in organic solar cells.
Outside of her professional work, Margaret enjoys vegan cooking and keeping up with her family’s dogs and donkeys.
